The mechanical combination lock listed here is for the protection of weapons and ammunition in GSA approved weapons containers, armory vault doors and field safes. 

Key changeable wheel design; three all-metal wheel construction; SS lock bolt resists 600 pounds of force; mounts with four 1/4-20 screws; has spy-proof dial (restricts area of dial that can be viewed to small band at top); uses standard left-right-left dialing allowing one-handed operation.

Pedestrian Door Deadbolt Devices

The FF-L-2890B combines a GSA approved FF-L-2740B combination lock with an innovative life safety component to ensure high security and rapid egress. There are six types of the FF-L-2890B. Each type is available with the two different styles of the FF-L-2740B for a total of 12 different configurations.

NSN 5340-01-626-0087 is the most similar to the now obsolete CDX-09 (5340-01-498-2760). At this time NSN 5340-01-626-0087 is the only FF-L-2890B item stocked by DLA. This item is available in as little as two business days when ordered through FedMall.

Intended Use for FF-L-2890B Pedestrian Door Deadbolt Device
 

Type I and Type II: Pedestrian Door Preassembled Lock (PDPL) - For use on standard egress doors, right and left hand interchangeable, standard and reverse bevel capable, that require one-handed, single-motion egress with no panic requirements. This lock extension is meant to be used on rooms/facilities where the occupancy is less than what the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) considers meeting assembly requirements.

Type III and Type IV: Pedestrian Door Lock Assembly Panic (PDLAP) - For use on fire exit doors, right and left hand interchangeable, standard and reverse bevel capable, that require one-handed, single-motion egress with panic requirements. This lock extension is meant to be used on rooms/facilities where the occupancy is equal to or greater than what the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) considers meeting assembly requirements.

Type V and Type VI: Auxiliary Deadbolt (ADB) - For use on standard pedestrian doors, right and left hand interchangeable, standard and reverse bevel capable, that are not on a required egress route and are not required to have one-handed single-motion egress. This lock extension is meant for use on rooms/facilities where there is no regular occupancy. An example of this would be a telecommunications closet. Use is subject to AHJ approval.
