  • How should items that require Method 32 preservation be packaged?

  • Per MIL-STD-2073, 'The item, preserved, wrapped and cushioned as required in shall be enclosed in a close fitting container (box) selected from Table C.I, which in turn shall be enclosed in a sealed waterproof bag conforming to MIL-DTL-117, Type I, Class B, Style 2. When specified, a protective wrap of heavy duty kraft paper or equivalent material (tape sealed) shall be provided to protect the barrier material during handling and storage.'
