The U.S. Navy celebrated its 245th Birthday and the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime joined the festivities with a trimmed down version of its fun-themed cardboard regatta. A celebration staple for the last several years, the COVID-19 health emergency has required health and safety adaptations that have scaled down this year’s version.
The last five years have been kind to Gregory Ramsey. The contracting specialist met and married his wife, embarked on a new career at Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime and became a father. In an interview for National Disability Employment Awareness Month, he described this time in his life as a whirlwind and how he’s able to “see” better than ever despite being legally blind.
This October during National Disability Employment Awareness Month it’s a timely opportunity to remind the workforce of the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Reasonable Accommodation process and how to use it should the need arise.
Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry participated as a guest panelist in Ohio’s Defense and Aerospace Forum state-wide event conducted virtually Oct. 6. The forum was organized to promote increased awareness of Ohio’s military and aerospace capabilities and how they are integrated into the nation’s defense strategy.

September orientation introduces 50 new associates
New employee orientation for 50 new Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime associates was held virtually Sept. 23.
Oct. 15, 2020 - September 23 was the first day of the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime New Employee Orientation for 50 new employees but this orientation was different than previous months. Participants were able to log in via WebRTC and use their webcams to see presenters and fellow employees instead of logging in to watch the PowerPoint presentations. This adjustment made the two-day orientation more interactive.
