Philadelphia — Nearly 500 children attended Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” event April 25 in Philadelphia.

Former DLA Troop Support commander returns as agency director, emphasizes transformation

PHILADELPHIA — Mark Simerly was a colonel when he assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in June 2017. Two years later, he relinquished command as a brigadier general. Now Army Lt. Gen. Mark Simerly returned to Northeast Philadelphia as the director of DLA and its global workforce of 25,000 employees.

Women’s History Month panel addresses advocacy, equity, diversity, inclusion

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support commemorated Women’s History Month on March 13 with an event that included a diverse panel of nine female employees for a question-and-answer session and award ceremony honoring a few of the organization’s outstanding leaders.

Defense Logistics Agency flu program protects DOD beneficiaries worldwide, meets Defense Health Agency needs

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support’s medical supply chain flu team and DLA Distribution Center Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, successfully completed the 2023-2024 flu vaccine program Feb. 1 with a total shipment of over 3.2 million doses to military service customers.
