Civil rights leader speaks at MLK Day of Service

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation welcomed civil rights leader Lonnie King Jr., as the honored guest at a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service presentation Jan. 30. Co-sponsored by DLA Aviation’s Procurement Process Support Directorate and Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity, King’s presentation drew nearly 350 attendees to the Frank Lotts Conference Center at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation manages more than 52,621 national stock numbers in the B-2 supply chain, helping to ensure the B-2’s support of the U.S. Nuclear Triad, the system of delivery vehicles comprised of sea, land, and air deterrent capabilities based on submarine-launched ballistic missiles, intercontinental ballistic missiles and heavy bombers.

Mapmakers on Fort Bragg keep troops on the right path

As hurricanes Irma and Maria tore across parts of the United States last year, thousands of troops from several military installations prepared for humanitarian relief missions to clear roads, restore power and provide food and clean water.
