On July 31st 2025 heavy rain feel in the City of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, creating flood conditions. The Perth Amboy Police Department used their 5-ton military cargo vehicle acquired through the 1033 Program (LESO) to conduct high water rescue.

The Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO) program transfers excess Department of War (DOW) property to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. This equipment, ranging from office supplies and vehicles to specialized gear, helps agencies enhance public safety at minimal cost through a streamlined application and acquisition process.
