Securing the Skies: DLA Weapons Support, Air Force convene B-2 Bomber Summit

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Building on the success of last year's inaugural event, Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support recently hosted its second B-2 Bomber Summit at Defense Supply Center Columbus. The event brought together supply chain experts, engineers and program managers to discuss sustainment strategies for the B-2 stealth bomber.

Two DLA service members recognized with Purple Heart medals

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Two DLA service members received Purple Heart medals during a ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex July 29. Army Lt. Col. Arturo Lincon and Army Master Sgt. Shawnar Thomas received recognition for injuries sustained in support of the U.S. Central Command mission during a rapid aerial attack March 1.

Fueling the Pacific: Price takes command of DLA Energy Pacific (Japan) amidst theater transition

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Leadership of a critical energy location in the Pacific officially changed hands on July 22 at Yokota Air Base in Japan. During a traditional military ceremony, Air Force Maj. Christopher Price assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Energy Pacific (Japan) from Air Force Lt. Col. Dominic Baker who relinquished command. The passing of the guidon marked not just a transfer of authority, but the continuity of the mission of ensuring uninterrupted petroleum support to U.S. and allied forces across the Pacific.
