DLA wins Fort Belvoir Commander’s Cup

After years of advancing in the rankings, this year the Defense Logistics Agency beat the competition to win the Fort Belvoir Commander’s Cup for the first time. DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams congratulated the team from across the agency in an Oct. 4 ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

Distribution DAT assesses Hurricane Florence damage as clean-up is underway at Distribution Cherry Point, North Carolina

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — DLA Distribution Cherry Point, North Carolina was in the direct path of Hurricane Florence. Knowing this, a Distribution Disaster Assessment Team was pre-positioned and prepared to support its North Carolina center prior to, during, and after Florence passed.

Workforce must follow rules set by Hatch Act

As local, state and federal elections approach, employees must be aware of the law restricting political expression in the federal workplace, during duty hours, or on federal property at any time. All civilian employees of DLA are required to abide by the Hatch Act of 1939.

Coaching also helps with wellness and work-life balance, increasing self-awareness, and helping with self-management.

Women’s Equality Day observed across the DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan

YOKOSUKA, Japan — DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan celebrated Women's Equality Day by bringing display information and educational material to each of the buildings across the Yokosuka facilities. Each directorate and branch displayed educational posters, in both English and Japanese, and had handouts and bookmarks available at each location for individuals to take with them from August 13 to 26.
