DLA Director describes agency transitions, accomplishments in final Town Hall

In his last Town Hall as the Defense Logistics Agency’s director, Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch spoke to the workforce in the McNamara Headquarters Complex April 13 about the agency’s resiliency, ongoing initiatives and future mission.

Distribution’s Kopsick receives AFRICOM’s Interagency Partner of the Year award

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Edward Kopsick, logistics management specialist with Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, has received the United States Africa Command Interagency Partner of the Year award for his work in supporting distribution operations in the area of responsibility.

Winter warriors wow, win awards

More than a dozen employees of the Defense Logistics Agency received trophies and recognition from DLA’s senior military leaders for meeting their fitness goals this past winter, in an April 12 ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

There will be activities on base throughout the month to raise awareness about sexual assault.

Ceremony marks start of Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Philadelphia — A non-commissioned officer at DLA Troop Support said that going through a sexual assault ultimately made her a stronger person.

DLA Distribution implemented the DoD Performance Management and Appraisal Program, or DPMAP, on April 1.

DLA graduates newest employees from two-year training program

RIchmond, Va. — Surrounded by family, friends and co-workers, 29 DLA Aviation and DLA Finance Pathways to Career Excellence (PaCE) Program graduates joined the ranks of the DLA workforce March 30 in a ceremony held in the Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.

Army Sgt. Leon H. Bell in 1919, after returning from World War I, at the home of his half-sister Lassie and brother-in-law, F.E. Carroll, Park Street, Beaumont, Texas. The U.S. Army continued to issue this uniform into the early days of World War II. DLA Troop Support now supplies all uniforms to U.S. military service members.

Runners, walkers, warriors honor warfighters despite cold

Runners and walkers from agencies in Fort Belvoir’s McNamara Headquarters Complex braved wind chills in the 30s to participate in the “Honor the Warrior” 5K Walk-Run March 22.

The “Global Distribution Excellence” Awards honor former Distribution employees and DLA Hall of Famers and recognize current individuals and organizations within DLA Distribution for their outstanding contributions to the success of DLA Distribution’s global mission.
