NAVSUP WSS commander visits Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Navy Rear Adm. Duke Heinz, commander of Naval Supply Systems Command Weapons Systems Support, visited DLA Distribution headquarters in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 15 to discuss how DLA Distribution supports the storage and distribution of critical parts for the Navy through its global network.

Staff helps heat up winter training for artillery unit

Gimcheon, South Korea — Timely customer engagement by Defense Logistics Agency employees has helped some 2nd Infantry Division soldiers cross heating equipment off their Christmas list.

Israel Security Assistance Liaison Officers visits DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Israel Security Assistance Liaison Officers visited the largest distribution center in the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution network, DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 11 to learn about DLA’s global logistics processes and how DLA Distribution supports foreign military sales customers.

People, teams celebrated for going extra mile in 50th annual Employee Recognition Awards

A total of 43 individuals and 13 teams received 56 awards at the 50th annual Defense Logistics Agency Employee Recognition Awards ceremony, Dec. 12 at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

DLA and USTRANSCOM work together to provide the warfighter and other customers needed items around the world.

DLA, USTRANSCOM may soon benefit from fusion of commercial, gov transportation system

A major partner organization of the Defense Logistics Agency announced it has successfully completed a test run of a transportation system that could give DLA and its customers additional options for supplying the warfighter and other customers.

Distribution commanding general introduces DLA Director’s strategic plan in annual town hall meeting

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Introducing the DLA Director’s 2018-2026 Strategic Plan and discussing how the lines of effort outlined in the plan apply to DLA Distribution was the main focus of DLA Distribution commanding general Army Brig. Gen. John S. Laskodi’s November 28 town hall with headquarters staff.
