DLA Director describes agency transitions, accomplishments in final Town Hall

In his last Town Hall as the Defense Logistics Agency’s director, Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch spoke to the workforce in the McNamara Headquarters Complex April 13 about the agency’s resiliency, ongoing initiatives and future mission.

Army Sgt. Leon H. Bell in 1919, after returning from World War I, at the home of his half-sister Lassie and brother-in-law, F.E. Carroll, Park Street, Beaumont, Texas. The U.S. Army continued to issue this uniform into the early days of World War II. DLA Troop Support now supplies all uniforms to U.S. military service members.

Director calls for sustained support to nuclear enterprise

The director of the Defense Logistics Agency joined with senior leaders from partner agencies to discuss how DLA can continue to improve its support to the nuclear enterprise, during a DLA Internal Nuclear Enterprise Summit at the McNamara Headquarters Complex March 8.

DLA, FEMA sign agreement in support of disaster relief

The Defense Logistics Agency renewed its commitment to providing critical lifesaving supplies and services to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in a formal agreement leaders in both agencies signed March 10.

The Defense Logistics Agency hosted a two-day Global Customer-Facing Summit March 8-9, where those who are the “face” of DLA to customers discussed plans and concerns with peers from around the world.

Commentary: DLA Regional Commanders shift to touch points for geographic combatant command

In September, I presided over DLA Pacific’s change of command, in which Navy Capt. Tim Daniels took the reins of that outstanding organization from Army Col. Richard Ellis. The ceremony marked more than one change for that team. As Capt. Daniels accepted the unit colors, he initiated a shift in the way DLA Pacific and our other regional commands work with our partners around the world.
