Marine Corps explores graywater capability to reduce logistical footprint

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marines website — When it comes to Marines and their equipment, the Marine Corps is focused on the concepts of smaller, faster, lighter and modular. The Fuel and Water Systems Team at Marine Corps Systems Command put this focus into action in the spring when it explored graywater recycling aboard Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, with Marines from Combat Logistics Regiment 25.

JBER Laundry fight stains Alaska wide

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson website — Heading south from Fairbanks, is a trailer filled to the brim with soiled linen from various federal agencies. Within 72 hours, JBER Laundry workers of the 673d Force Support Squadron will wash, dry, press, fold and wrap the sullied shipment and return it whence it came. In this fashion, five days per week, thousands of pounds of laundry are exchanged.
