BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The agency’s reverse logistics team hosted its first guest post-pandemic guest instructor during a Defense Acquisition University training session in Michigan Feb. 15-16.

Excess oil to support South Carolina forestry equipment

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — More than 800 gallons of excess hydraulic oil no longer needed at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, will now help sustain equipment used by the South Carolina Forestry Commission to fight fires.

Good idea nets big savings

CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait — While Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services employees usually market reusable materials to warfighters, the Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, staff recently became their own customers when a good idea helped solve a messy problem.

Returning customer reaches $5 million mark in reusable items

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — Defense Logistics Agency employees at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, recently resumed issuing usable excess property to transfer and donation customers as pandemic restrictions eased, allowing one customer to reach the $5 million mark in property acquired through the agency.

Excess boots may brighten holidays for homeless

Almost 200 pairs of boots began making their way to help the homeless July 28 when they were received at the Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services site at Warner Robins, Georgia.

Soldiers from varying brigades and units throughout the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), properly secure equipment brought in to the Division Excess Consolidation Point as part of Operations Clean Eagle and Eagle Sweep. The purpose of both of these operations is to remove excess from across the division, eliminate waste and increase the division's overall readiness posture.

Agency helps cut Army excess and enhance readiness

Fort Campbell, Kentucky — Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services employees at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, have been hard at work assisting Army units there with their continued efforts to enhance readiness by getting rid of what they no longer need.

New devices heat up classes in Georgia school

Augusta, Georgia — Students at Alleluia Community School in Augusta, Georgia, were able to start the New Year with some new helpers to aid their learning thanks to the Defense Department’s Computers for Learning program managed by the Defense Logistics Agency.
