Contract oversight visit brings former sailor back aboard

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Erik Rundquist, a contracting officer with Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services, recently traveled to Japan to coordinate the award of a regional hazardous materials removal contract. The trip provided Rundquist a chance to put his military service into perspective, as he once served as a U.S. Navy sailor for three years aboard USS Warrior (MCM-10) and had the opportunity to go back aboard the ship in Sasebo. Erik shared some of his personal thoughts on the visit.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Matthew Laposa is a procurement specialist with Defense Logistics Agency Document Services at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. He recently received a challenge coin from Army Rangers serving in the 2-10th Infantry Regiment "Tomahawks", he assisted with a project.

New Leadership Course Strengthens Supervisory Skills

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services recently launched a new leadership course aimed at strengthening supervisory skills through hands-on, mission-focused training.

Krissie Davis, a civilian DLA employee, volunteered for service in Afghanistan and was killed at age 54 by an enemy rocket in June 2015.
