Tobyhanna’s Finlay receives Global Distribution Excellence: Security Civilian of the Year Award

TOBYHANNA, Pennsylvania — Jeffrey Finlay, security specialist at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Tobyhanna, Pa., has received the Global Distribution Excellence: Security Civilian of the Year Award for his contributions towards exceeding DLA Distribution’s security goals.

Branch recognized with Blacks in Government Award

RICHMOND, Virginia — Charita Branch was one of two DLA Distribution employees honored with the 2015 Blacks in Government Military Meritorious Service Award Aug. 25. The award honors military members and Department of Defense civilian employees who have supported the DoD mission and whose attributes best epitomize the qualities and core values of their respective military service or other DoD component.

NORFOLK, Virginia — Sebrena Johnson, systems analyst supervisor at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Va., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Supervisory Systems Analyst of the Year award for her work in implementing the Distribution Standard System at two of Norfolk’s satellite locations - New London, Conn., and Cheatham Annex, Va.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Today, DLA Distribution is celebrating Women’s Equality Day – the day women were granted the right to vote in 1920, when the 19th Amendment to the constitution was certified as law. About 28 percent of the workforce at Distribution is female – a number the organization is continuing to grow.
