Names of latest DLA Hall of Fame inductees announced

Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch has announced this year’s DLA Hall of Fame inductees.

DLA employees and teams were recently honored for their achievements in helping the agency achieve its strategic goals.

Strategic Goals Award winners announced for first quarter, fiscal 2016

Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch has announced the DLA Strategic Goals Award winners for the first quarter of fiscal 2016. This quarterly award recognizes measurable contributions by teams or individuals to achieving the goals set forth in the DLA Strategic Plan.

Lula A. Lacy, a management support assistant for DLA Distribution; Ian G. Ladner, an energy management specialist for DLA Energy; and Edward G. Guthrie, deputy director of DLA Energy’s Defense Fuel Support Point Okinawa, are the DLA Employees of the Quarter winners for the 1st Quarter of fiscal 2016.

DLA announces employees of the quarter for first quarter fiscal 2016

Lula A. Lacy, a management support assistant for DLA Distribution; Ian G. Ladner, an energy management specialist for DLA Energy; and Edward G. Guthrie, deputy director of DLA Energy’s Defense Fuel Support Point Okinawa, are the DLA Employees of the Quarter winners for the 1st Quarter of fiscal 2016.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Air Force Master Sgt. Shanon Johnson is named DLA senior Non-commissioned Officer of the Quarter, 1st Quarter 2016. Johnson earned this recognition in part through her role as an assistant B-1 weapon system program manager, serving an active role on the Air Force Supply Chain Working Group working diligently to ensure mission effectiveness, and for her volunteerism and leadership within the community with children, family, and wounded warriors.

DLA recognizes outstanding non-commissioned officers

The agency recognizes outstanding leadership and performance in two Defense Logistics Agency Aviation non-commissioned officers.

Former employee receives DoD leadership award

ARLINGTON, Virginia — A former Defense Logistics Agency Energy Bulk Fuels Contracting division chief earned the 2015 Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Acquisition and Contracting Legends Award during a ceremony at the Pentagon Jan. 12.

Angela Vaccaro, distribution process worker at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., presented the Commander’s Mission Impact – Individual Award for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Susquehanna’s Vaccaro selected for Commanders Mission Impact Award

Angela Vaccaro, distribution process worker supervisor at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., was awarded the prestigious Commander’s Mission Impact – Individual Award for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Tobyhanna division wins TYAD Safety Area of the Year award

The Packing, Warehouse and Small Parcel area of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Tobyhanna, Pa., was awarded the Tobyhanna Army Depot Safety Area of the Year Award - Tenant Activity, for fiscal year 2015 for their work in ensuring employee safety.

Distribution Expeditionary Team honored by DLA Director with award

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The DLA Distribution Expeditionary Team was recognized for their contributions to Operation United Assistance, receiving the DLA Team Performance Award during an awards ceremony Dec. 10.

Community event delayed but not forgotten

November 13, 2015 — Members of the Defense Logistics Agency in Battle Creek joined with the community and other Defense Department elements for a long delayed event to recognize America’s armed forces along with those serving in the Battle Creek, Michigan, who distinguished themselves through their extra efforts.
