National Guard Provides Support to Hurricane Stricken States

Logistics in Action: Article originally appeared on the Official U.S. Dept. of Defense website — Hurricane Helene, a category 4 storm that touched down in Florida late September 26, 2024, caused significant damage across the Deep South and then northwestward across the southern Appalachians. As a result, local, state, and national response efforts have launched with FEMA coordinating the Federal assistance throughout impacted areas. About 6,700 guardsmen from 16 states across the U.S. have been activated to provide assistance.

Troop Support Spotlight: Victoria Czaia

Victoria Czaia, DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles customer account specialist and culture improvement team member, was teaching English in China during the Sichuan earthquake of 2008, 10 years ago today. Czaia joined the Red Cross there to help those affected.
