Summer interns reflect on DLA sustainability project, government careers and what’s next

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — As an eight-week internship with Defense Logistics Agency Research and Development comes to an end July 25, college students Peyton Coleman and Reuel Florendo learned the importance of proper data collection through an agency project aimed at reducing waste and repurposing materials found in excess Defense equipment turned in to DLA.

The Defense Logistics Agency has 64 openings in this year’s Workforce Recruitment Program. For managers, that’s 64 opportunities to test a prospective employee before hiring them.
