Army director of Enterprise Support visits DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Robert Thurston, director, Enterprise Support, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Headquarters, Department of the Army, visited Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Headquarters in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, and toured the facilities at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, Aug. 14. During his visit, Thurston engaged with DLA Distribution leadership and staff, discussing topics including the Warehouse Execution System, Warehouse Management System implementation, and warehouse modernization and utilization. The overall goal of the visit focused on knowledge sharing relating to topics such as supply forecasting, enterprise resource planning modernization and prepositioned stock.

Customer Relationship Management team moving to modern service tool

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Customer Relationship Management team members throughout the Defense Logistics Agency are transitioning to a new service-management tool called ServiceNow that enables easier, more efficient handling of customer inquiries.

Energy Convergence program concludes, legacy system decommissioned

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Energy’s Energy Convergence transition to the Enterprise Business System has concluded, reducing the number of systems needed to process transactions and decreasing costs for the organization by millions of dollars.

Retired Army Lt. Gen. Robert Dail, former director of DLA, is being inducted into the DLA Hall of Fame July 14 in recognition of his contributions to the agency at a critical time.
