He gave a speech not only entailing his own struggles and ultimate triumphs, through years of racial oppression and bigotry, but also the numerous examples from American history.

Tuskegee Airman, 94, honored at HQC Black History Month observance

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Major Anderson is one of the last remaining Tuskegee Airmen, a group of about 19,000 black Americans who served as pilots, navigators, crew chiefs, nurses, mechanics and other support staff for the B-17 and B-25 bombers during World War II.
