DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Dover Air Force website — The C-5M Super Galaxy is known for flying large amounts of cargo, exceedingly long distances and in a short amount of time. But a recent innovative idea asked the big question; what else can the C-5 accomplish to compete tactically? The answer – perform specialized fuel operations, also known as SFO.

Texas C-5M delivers supplies to Puerto Rico

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Joint Base San Antonio website — In the aftermath of three devastating hurricanes that struck Texas, Florida and the Caribbean region of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Citizen Airmen of Air Force Reserve Command’s 433rd Airlift Wing flew their 17th mission in a C-5M Super Galaxy in less than a month to answer their nation’s call for help in the commonwealth of Puerto Rico in response to the destruction of Hurricane Maria.
