FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Chuck Allyson’s storied career in fuel has carried him from Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; through Fort Lee and Fort Belvoir in Virginia; to Germany, South Korea, and Alaska. His final duty assignment landed him traveling throughout the northeast region of New England. After 21 years in the Army and another 21 years working as a civilian DLA fuel quality assurance representative, it’s time to move on.

DLA General Counsel Coyne retires after 38 years with DoD

DLA General Counsel James M. Coyne retired after a 38-year career with the Department of Defense in a ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex Aug. 10.

An American Story: Army Command Sgt. Major Charles Tobin

DLA's senior enlisted leader retires July 12 after a 33-year Army career. He has served as DLA’s senior enlisted leader since May 2015, the agency’s sixth SEL since the position was established. His rise to the top of the enlisted ranks is a uniquely American story.

DLA Finance Director and CFO Tony Poleo will retire after 36 years with the agency during a June 8 ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

DLA finance director, CFO to retire after dedicating 36 years to agency

Defense Logistics Agency Finance Director and Chief Financial Officer Tony Poleo retires June 8 after 36 years of federal service, all with DLA.

Air Force Gen. Robin Rand (left), Commander, Air Force Global Strike Command, and the service component commander to U.S. Strategic Command, presided over the retirement of DLA Director Air Force Lt. DLA director retires after 38-year Air Force career

Defense Logistics Agency Director Lt. Gen. Andy Busch marked the end of his 38-year Air Force career May 4 with a retirement ceremony at DLA Headquarters, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

DLA is working on its final rules for phase retirement.

Phased retirement rules for DLA employees still in development

DLA Human Resources officials are working to develop and publish the final rules for implementing the “phased retirement” option in the agency.
