Planes don’t fly without fuel

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Barksdale Air Force Base website — Barksdale houses the largest fuel storage capacity in all of Air Force Global Strike Command, which not only keeps the B-52H Stratofortress in the air, but also keeps the rest of the 2nd Bomb Wing moving.

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Tinker Air Force website — The first B-52H Stratofortress to be resurrected from the nation’s aircraft reservoir to rejoin the active bomber fleet soared off Tuesday from Tinker Air Force Base.
