Winning today’s fight means executing the air tasking order daily to meet the U.S. Central Command commander’s priorities. With aircraft flying daily, eventually parts will wear down or break, causing the aircraft to be grounded for several days.

AFCENT Cargo mission unhindered: ‘Net’working services for Coalition aerial support

386th ELRS expedites rations time from pallet to warfighter

ALI AL SALEM AIR BASE, Kuwait — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing website — Airmen assigned to the 386th ELRS cargo processing team ensure that 15 to 30 thousand pounds of water, food, and MREs are delivered across the area of responsibility to military members in need.

These Airmen and what they do is not completely well known. But, their impact on the flying mission is felt across the maintenance world.

A ‘simple fix’ will save the Air Force a lot of money

SOUTHWEST ASIA — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing website — In early May, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Tech. Sgt. Chance Cole, 386th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron flight line expediter, came up with an idea – and it’s going to save the Air Force a lot of money.

— Construction is currently underway to provide a work environment for U.S. coalition forces to continue aerial port operations in Kuwait City. The aerial port is a strategic logistics point to deliver passengers and cargo throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility and its future was recently put in jeopardy due to a construction project timeline issue.

SOUTHWEST ASIA — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing website — The process that the 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron goes through to send MRAP vehicles throughout the area of responsibility is designed to ensure the vehicle makes its destination and operates properly when it gets there.

Camp Sparta is a secure and isolated compound where joint service logisticians from across all branches of service and support disciplines are attached to United States Special Operations Command Central’s Joint Special Operations Forces Support Detachment – K. The compound serves as a trans-regional, intermediate-level staging base and logistics hub for special operations personnel and cargo coming in and out of theater. The JSSD-K mission has been around since 2012, but in December 2016, a U.S. Central Command execution order solidified and expanded its mission.
