DLA employees beautify community roadside

Members of the Defense Logistics Agency team assigned to Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna, removed debris and trash along a one-mile stretch of Normandy Memorial Drive in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s statewide Adopt A Highway program, Oct. 19.

Mentor program continues philanthropy, expands workforce impact

Employees from a Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support mentoring program assembled care packages and wrote cards for deployed warfighters to support morale and resiliency at an event Dec. 3 in Philadelphia. The program began in the Industrial Hardware supply chain, but has become a cross-organizational collaborative program with mentors and mentees from all of Troop support’s supply chains.

Nearly 100 Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support employees were honored for their achievements during a quarterly awards ceremony Nov. 14. Army Brig. Gen. Mark Simerly, DLA Troop Support commander, hosted the ceremony and expressed his gratitude to the workforce for their contributions to the agency’s mission success.
