76th CMXG starts sand casting aluminum parts

Tinker units collaborate, produce first 3-D printed engine component

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Tinker Air Force Base website — Members of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, an Air Force Sustainment Center wing, have produced the first additively manufactured metal component successfully tested on a U.S. Air Force aircraft engine, a significant milestone for future sustainment of aircraft like the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System and the B-52 Stratofortress.

DLA Aviation at Oklahoma City commander promoted to colonel

A Tinker Air Force Base commander moved up in the ranks at a ceremony held July 11 in the Tinker Club. Lt. Col. James Malec, commander of the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Oklahoma, was promoted to colonel and recognized for his accomplishments.

Former commander returns, gives Air Force customer perspective at SLC

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation leadership and strategic partners came together for the activities annual Senior Leadership Conference Feb. 7-9 on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Former DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Mark Johnson who is the current commander of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, returned to Richmond to speak with senior leaders from an Air Force customer perspective.
