The legacy engine: FRCE delivers final Harrier engine to fleet

CHERRY POINT, N.C. — Following the delivery of the depot's final AV-8B Harrier in September, Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) recently completed its last F402 engine maintenance event, delivering the finished product to the fleet Oct. 28.

Collaboration improves Marine One fleet readiness operations

Richmond, Va — While every aircraft serving the U.S. armed forces is critical to mission success, few roles are as important to both morale and mission as Marine One. Because of this, the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Cherry Point, North Carolina team takes its duty seriously keeping the Marine Corps Helicopter Squadron One [HMX-1] ready for service.

Her performance on assignment led to implementing Deputy Materiel Management Chief military positions to be placed at each of the FRC sites.

New military positions connecting processes at FRC’s

Richmond, Virginia — From October 2015 through February 2016, Navy Lt. Traci Irby backfilled a position at DLA Aviation at the Navy Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in San Diego. Little did anyone know it would end up being the catalyst for the permanent implementation of military junior officer positions to be placed at each of the FRC sites DLA Aviation supports.
