71st RQS loadmasters maintain supply, enable mission

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Moody Air Force Base website — Boots? Check. Knife? Check. Headsets? Check. … Check. … Check. But who is responsible for maintaining and issuing the more than a half a million dollars’ worth of mission-critical equipment to ensure that each rescue professional is geared up when time is of the essence?

Fuels facilities maintains base service station

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Moody Air Force Base website — Approximately 438 government owned vehicles on Moody use fuel provided by the base service station in order to do their job. The service station’s tanks, are maintained by two Airmen assigned to the 23d Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels facilities section.

Moody A-10 engine maintainers make history

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Moody Air Force Base website — For the first time, Moody’s 23d Maintenance Squadron’s (MXS) propulsion flight accomplished an unprecedented feat by ensuring every TF34 engine in their fleet is repaired to serviceable status.

POL fuel yard gets first major upgrade since 50s

One piece of equipment the clinics rely on daily is the sterilizer, which is critical to keeping the dental, family and women’s health clinics up and running.

POL enables faster turnarounds, longer missions

Sgt. Zachary Beggin, 23d LRS NCO in charge of fuels distribution. “They hookup, refuel and their back up in the air and it decreases ground time by 66 percent.”

41st maintainers reach perfection

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Moody Air Force Base website — 41st Helicopter Maintenance Unit airmen dedicated hundreds of hours of hard work to achieve not one, but three “black letter initials,” a marking of approval on an inspection checklist certifying that the aircraft is not only mission-ready, but it is operationally perfect: zero discrepancies, zero write-ups and zero inspection violations.
