Louisiana National Guard continues Hurricane Laura response

BATON ROUGE, La. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard website — More than 6,200 members of the Louisiana National Guard are supporting the response to Hurricane Laura, providing logistical support, distributing supplies and clearing roads and bridges.

Soldiers of 3rd Battalion, 133rd Field Artillery Regiment based in El Paso, Texas with first responders, the Cajun Navy and civilian volunteers tirelessly work points of distribution as relief teams to provide Texans affected by Hurricane Harvey more than 18,000 cases of water daily and nearly 320,000 pounds of ice, and tens of thousands of pounds of donated necessities, such as toilet paper, baby food and diapers, tarps, hygiene items, clothing and cleaning supplies, Sept. 3 2017.
