Laskodi presents Red River Expeditionary Team with Humanitarian Effort Awards

TEXARKANA, Texas — During a recent site visit to DLA Distribution Red River, Texas on April 18, Distribution commanding general Army Brig. Gen. John S. Laskodi presented Humanitarian Effort Awards to the Red River Expeditionary Team.

Luis Pena serves as the lone full-time civil servant for the Defense Logistics Agency in Puerto Rico. He helps military units shed their excess and used equipment and gets rid of their scrap metal. Here, he evaluates the pending scrap removal demands at Camp Santiago, which was one of the island's military installations hardest hit by Hurricane Maria in 2017.

SAN JUAN, PR. — Luis Pena serves as the Defense Logistics Agency's lone civil servant in Puerto Rico. And his job - helping warfighters get rid of used equipment and scrap - got a lot more challenging after the 2017 hurricane season.

USACE Quality Assurance checks help keep temporary emergency generators running strong in Puerto Rico
