DLA Aviation awards May and June EOM recipients

RICHMOND, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation's May Employee of the Month is Keith McEachern, inter-continental ballistic missiles weapon system support manager for DLA Aviation’s Customer Operations Directorate in Richmond, Virginia, and the June EOM is Shante’l Wyche, an acquisition specialist in DLA Aviation’s Supplier Operations Commodities Directorate.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation and Defense Supply Center Richmond Commander, Air Force Brig. Gen. Allan Day greets Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe and the Adjutant General of Virginia, Maj. Gen. Timothy Williams to the installation for a ground-breaking ceremony August 17. The Virginia National Guard is set to build a 102,000 square-foot facility on the north side of DSCR. Aviation Leader Commentary: One team, one victory

Richmond, Va. — Why do we do what we do? Obviously supporting our families and preparing for our future and retirement are motivations for many of us. I have two daughters in college, so I know how important that paycheck is. But that is not why I work at the Defense Logistics Agency.

He is competing as a member of the Puerto Rican National Olympic Team at this summer’s Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro in honor of his maternal grandfather who born in Puerto Rico and passed away two years ago. DLA Director holds town hall in Richmond

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch returned to Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, to update employees on topics ranging from warfighter support to culture survey results during a July 29 town hall at the Lotts Conference Center.

Material handlers Danny Howard and Charles Gonzalez, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond, move a cabinet for delivery to an office at Defense Supply Center Richmond. Office moves, furniture delivery and cube construction are a few of the services provided by the Customer Support Division.

RICHMOND, Virginia — There are nearly 3,000 employees working on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, and all of them rely on a small group of divisions known as Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond. The seven divisions of installation support provide more than 70 services that touch employees every day directly or indirectly.

Aviation customer service captain named DLA’s 2nd quarter CGO

Richmond, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency’s Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for the 2nd quarter fiscal 2016, is DLA Aviation’s Air Force Capt. Broderick Morris, who is the B-2 weapons system program manager currently assigned to the Air Force Customer Facing Division in the Customer Operations Directorate. Morris was nominated and selected for his performance while deployed as a member of the DLA Support Team –Kuwait from January to March 2016.
