DSCR celebrates Army Birthday
RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, employees gathered in the Center Restaurant June 15 to celebrate the Army’s 241st Birthday. This year’s theme is “The American Soldier – Always Ready, Always Leading.”
DLA Aviation helps sustain America’s first long-range bomber for another 30 plus years
RICHMOND, VA — If you’ve ever been fortunate enough to see an Air Force B-52 bomber up close on the ground or in the air, you fully understand its sheer magnitude. Built by Boeing, the B-52 Stratofortress is more than 40 feet high, has a wingspan of 185 feet, and is 160 feet long. To put that into perspective, that’s 25 feet wider and a little less than half the length of a regulation football field.

Cutler hosts "Ask the CIO" event
RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency’s Kathy Cutler, DLA Information Operations director, and chief information officer hosted an “Ask the CIO” Town Hall June 8 in the Lotts Conference Center on Defense supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The purpose of the event was to provide insight on the agency’s current Information Technology initiatives and to answer employee’s questions.
DLA kids come to work with parents at Ogden, Utah
RICHMOND, Virginia — The Customer Operations Directorate of the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Ogden, Utah conducted a “Bring Your Child to Work Day” June 9, in the Hill Aerospace Museum on Hill Air Force Base. Forty-three children (ages 2 – 15) of DLA Aviation employees attended the event and enjoyed a day learning what their parents do to support our nation’s warfighters.
