DLA Distribution Yokosuka prepares to manage Japan’s Transportation Protective Service program
YOKOSUKA, Japan — As part of an effort to increase support to the warfighter, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, is preparing to manage Japan’s Transportation Protective Service program. This effort gives DLA responsibility for freight within mainland Japan that requires TPS, including classified, sensitive, and hazardous material.

San Joaquin engages in healthy competition for audit readiness
SAN JOAQUIN, California — Employees of DLA Distribution San Joaquin’s Freight Terminal incorporated audit preparedness into a recent stand-up morning meeting by playing Audit Readiness Jeopardy. Three teams competed against each other to be crowned as the Audit Readiness Jeopardy champions.
Distribution headquarters’ Monroe named Employee of the Quarter
NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Joelle Monroe, DLA Distribution headquarters, has been named Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of fiscal year 2015. Monroe currently serves as deputy chief within DLA Distribution’s Current Operations Compliance and Audit Sustainment Division. She was selected for her performance and innovative improvement in support of DLA’s audit sustainability efforts.

San Diego employee participates in the DoD Operation Warfighter Program
SAN DIEGO, California — Armando “Bud” Budomo dedicated 21 years of his life to serving his country. The decision to retire from the United States Marine Corps was not one taken lightly, without thought to the future.
