PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — I am Staff Sgt. Andrew Taylor. After serving on active duty for eight years as a 2F0X1 Fuels troop, I transitioned into the Air Force Reserves and elected to become an Individual Mobilized Augmentee. I am assigned to DLA Energy Hawaii on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam as a quality assurance representative responsible for validating proper procurement of Energy assets, which includes fuels of various grades, as well as cryogenic products like liquid oxygen and nitrogen.

Sharing Utilities Privatization lessons learned

When military installations leverage UP, they shift from the role of owner-operator to utility services customers and obtain reliable, technologically-current utility systems at a relatively lower cost than they would under continued government ownership.
