Event puts creative spin on domestic violence awareness

Richmond, Va. — Come out and break a sweat while bringing awareness to the issue of domestic violence at this year’s Spin for the Cause/Breaking the Cycle of Domestic Violence. A joint venture between Defense Logistics Agency Installation Operations Richmond and the U.S. Army Reserve 80th Training Command, Spin for the Cause encourages physical and mental fitness to help overcome obstacles and gain empowerment.

Saving energy on DoD’s largest joint base

The U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center announced a new energy savings performance contract to increase energy resiliency at the Department of Defense’s largest joint base, Joint Base San Antonio in Texas, Sept. 28. As an execution agent for Joint Base San Antonio and Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Defense Logistics Agency Energy’s Installation Energy team awarded an Energy Savings Performance Contract.

Benjamin “Gil” Perkins inducted as the 2018 Hall of Fame recipient

Richmond, Va. — For his dedicated service and contributions to Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Benjamin “Gil” Perkins, former DLA Aviation chief counsel was inducted into the 2018 DLA Aviation Hall of Fame Sept. 27. Perkins retired in 2015 after 34 years of service.
