Employees celebrate 240th Marine Corps birthday

RICHMOND, Virginia — Employees from around Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia gathered in the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center Nov. 10 to celebrate the 240th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps. They were joined by the inspector-instructor staff of Hotel Battery, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines, 4th Marine Division.

Contingency planner rewarded for role in joint task force

HATTIESBURG, Mississippi — Andre Hinson’s work in support of Joint Task Force Port Opening’s exercise Turbo Distribution 16-1, earned him a coin from the joint task force commander at Camp Shelby Oct. 29.

HOUSTON — Deep underground storage caverns created in salt domes along the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico are home to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, federally-owned emergency oil stockpiles for U.S. obligations.
