Police Week Spotlight: Officer Randall Guratosky

RICHMOND, Va. — As part of National Police Week observances, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation and DLA Installation Support at Richmond will spotlight police officers at Defense Supply Center, Richmond, Virginia, who selflessly secure and protect the base, its people and its neighbors.

DLA Installation Support at Richmond takes receipt of its newest static display

Aviation Leader Commentary: Warfighter First

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency's No. 1 goal is to deliver innovative and responsive solutions to warfighters first. To me, that means ensuring my fellow service members always have the advantage.

Defense Supply Center Richmond's annual "Bring Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day" was held April 28, 2016, in the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center in Richmond, Virginia. During the activities, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Senior Enlisted Advisor Marine Master Gunnery Sgt. Phu Cao and his sons Huy, center, and Trung, right, share positive messages. The event, titled "Sparkling Aha! Moments,” was open to children ages 8-19, and over 160 children participated.

DLA employees bring daughters and sons to work for annual event

RICHMOND, Virginia — “Take your Daughters and Sons to Work Day” was celebrated at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, April 28. More than 160 children from various Defense Logistics Agency activities on DSCR participated in the annual event, which was sponsored by the Strategic Acquisitions Directorate and the Equal Employment Opportunity Office.

Supplier Industry Day provides engagement opportunities

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Supplier Industry Day kicked off April 19 in the Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. According to DLA Aviation Director of Supplier Operations Navy CAPT Robert Keating, who provided the opening remarks, it was the largest Supplier Industry Day to date, with more than 100 vendors attending.

A new acquisition professionals video focusing on a DLA Troop Support employee was released on the organization’s YouTube and Facebook sites April 27.

Airman 1st Class Michael Schulz, 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle management flight mechanic, changes the oil of a government vehicle March 22, 2016, at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. Schulz was one of two Airmen tasked with changing the oil of six vehicles which will be testing a new bio-based synthetic oil which could potentially help the Air Force’s initiative to use more sustainable materials and be environmentally conscious.
