Australia and DLA Energy sign fuel exchange agreement

NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland — Australia and DLA Energy signed a new Fuel Exchange Agreement April 12 during the 2017 Worldwide Energy Conference at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland.

DLA Energy commander hosts WWEC plenary session

NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland — Energy security, operational energy and energy diplomacy were the themes in a plenary session during the Worldwide Energy Conference held at the Gaylord National Hotel and Conference Center in National Harbor, Maryland, April 11.

DLA Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Martin Chapin presided at the DLA Energy Worldwide Energy Conference opening ceremony to a crowd of more than two thousand industry professionals gathered to refine future energy needs at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center Apr. 10.

DLA Energy commander attends ribbon-cutting ceremony at Tinker Air Force Base

Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Martin Chapin participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony with other senior officials for the Air Force’s largest energy savings performance contract at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, March 29.

As part of the Defense Fuel Support Point San Pedro closing procedures, contractors remove the JP-5 cross connect that connects the north side of the terminal to the south side of the terminal. After 37 years, the DFSP San Pedro government owned, government operated fuel facility is closing tanks to achieve infrastructure savings and reduce costs for the Department of Defense.

DFSP San Pedro closes fuel tanks

SAN PEDRO, California — Defense Logistics Agency Energy is one-step closer to shutting down 27 World War II underground storage tanks at the U.S. Navy owned Defense Fuel Support Point in San Pedro, California.

DLA Energy recently awarded a contract for a 28.2 megawatt on-site solar energy production facility at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.
