Former employees selected for 2017 DLA Energy Hall of Fame

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Four former Defense Logistics Agency Energy employees are selected to be inducted into the Energy Hall of Fame at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Sept. 28.

The induction ceremony will be Sept. 22 at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

DLA helps educate Omani vendors on DoD contracting processes, opportunities

The Defense Logistics Agency joined the U.S. Embassy in Oman, U.S. Central Command and 40 Omani company representatives in the sultanate’s first ever defense-contracting workshop May 14-15 in the capital city of Muscat.

The Fort Polk Garrison Commander and Louisiana Congressional representatives attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for two newly constructed Wastewater Treatment Plants at Fort Polk, Louisiana, May 24. DLA Energy Utility Services provided the contract for the two WWTPs that will treat 6.4 million gallons of wastewater per day. This project will improve Fort Polk’s mission assurance and have a positive environmental impact for more than 50 years.

DLA Energy brings first large-scale hybrid solar, wind renewable project to Fort Hood

FORT HOOD, Texas — Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Martin Chapin attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony with other senior officials for the first large-scale renewable energy solar and wind project at Fort Hood, Texas, June 2.

Guy C. Beougher assumes role as DLA Energy deputy commander May 30. Prior to this position, he served as the executive director of Defense Logistics Agency Operations (J3).
