Call for volunteers to deploy with FEMA taskforce attracts over 130 DLA employees
Over 130 employees volunteered for ten assignment opportunities to support hurricane relief efforts with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and will soon deploy to Texas, Florida, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico.

Susquehanna distribution center commander praises team’s hurricane response efforts

DLA Distribution Albany ships over 80,000 meals to feed those affected by hurricanes
ALBANY, Ga. — Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 major hurricane forming Aug. 17, and making landfall in Southern Texas on Aug. 25, was an extremely destructive Atlantic hurricane, becoming the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since Wilma in 2005, ending a record 12-year drought in which no hurricanes had made landfall at such an intensity in the country.
