DLA director thanks employees for their hard work during relief efforts

145th Logistics Readiness Squadron supports Hurricane Irma Relief
09/10/2017 – BADIN, N.C. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 145th Airlift Wing website — In response to the state of emergency declaration by North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper on Sept. 7. 2017, the 145th Logistics Readiness Squadron was tasked to provide aide to the Logistics Support Center warehouse in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management, which provides supplies such as water, meals, blankets and tarps should Hurricane Irma cause significant damage.

DLA Distribution Expeditionary lends support to FEMA Hurricane Harvey relief
NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — A DLA Distribution Expeditionary team recently deployed to Texas to provide support to U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency’s wide range of services, supplies, and disaster relief following Hurricane Harvey, a Category-4 hurricane that formed in the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall in southeastern Texas with wind speeds of up to 130 miles per hour.
