DLA Senior Enlisted Leader visits DLA Distribution

Anniston’s Adderhold wins Global Distribution Excellence: Safety Civilian of the Year
ANNISTON, Alabama — Barry Adderhold, safety management specialist at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Anniston, Ala., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Safety Civilian of the Year award for leading the Anniston team to achieving ISO 14001:2004, an Environmental Management System audit.
Susquehanna’s Wright retires from Navy service
NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — As an 18-year-old Ohio native, David M. Wright decided to become a nuclear electrician and serve on submarines, standing the watch in the silent service. Nearly 28 years later, on Aug. 27, Navy Supply Corps Lt. Cmdr. Wright stood in front of family and coworkers to be honored for his service and to be recognized by Army Col Corey A. New, the DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., commander.

Norfolk’s Little Creek detachment supports humanitarian mission in Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste
LITTLE CREEK, Virginia — In a humanitarian aid mission to the island nation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in maritime Southeast Asia, Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5's Construction Civic Action Detail built two bridges to enable safe river crossings that isolate villages in Leimea. Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Va., and its Little Creek, Va., detachment assisted the Seabees in the short-notice and cost-effective transportation of wire rope cable to the location.
