DLA Distribution practices the Continuity of Operations Plan during National Preparedness Month
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Since 2002, the month of September has been observed as National Preparedness Month. September was chosen in memory of the attacks of September 11, 2001, and also because it coincides with the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season. Sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency within the Department of Homeland Security, National Preparedness Month encourages Americans to take steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses, schools and communities. The national preparedness architecture encompasses prevention, protection, response, and recovery efforts to prepare the United States for all hazards – whether terrorist attack or natural disaster.

Susquehanna duo wins Commander’s Mission Impact award

Defense Logistics Agency supports Ulchi Freedom Guardian 2015
CAMP CARROLL, Korea — Led by Defense Logistics Agency Pacific Korea, DLA Distribution and other DLA organizations in the pacific theater provided simulated sustainment and logistics services to United States and Republic of Korea forces within the Korean Theater of Operations in support of Ulchi Freedom Guardian from Aug. 17 to 29, 2015. UFG is a computer-based command post exercise that triggers ROK-US Forces to respond to destabilizing events and work through challenges in mission command in defense of the ROK.
