FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The program analysis master planning branch chief for Defense Logistics Agency Energy is leading the effort to implement a tablet- and desktop-based remote interpretive service for deaf employees across the agency.

President surprises DLA employee’s parents

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Calvin and Donna Andrew, Utah residents and parents of DLA Document Services employee Nansi Malesic, got to meet the president thanks to some lighthearted banter between Malesic and members of the White House Office of the Staff Secretary.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Navigating the Defense Logistics Agency through an unknown future was the focus of DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch’s first address to the DLA Distribution workforce during a May 11 town hall in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.

Byron Davis is presented the DLA Meritorious Service Award by DLA Distribution Commander Army Brig. Gen. Richard Dix for performing CPR on a co-worker exhibiting signs of a heart attack.

SUSQUEHANNA, Pennsylvania — Following an act of selfless service and response to a coworker in distress, five employees at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, were honored for their actions on the day they saved the life of an employee in the Receiving Branch.

DLA discusses opportunities, options with information technology vendors

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency’s information technology vendors can help the agency be a world-class IT provider by becoming true partners on costs and services, DLA’s chief information officer said during a roundtable meeting May 11 at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

The Lion Dance is performed by Wong People, a Washington, D.C., based group that also gives kung fu and tai chi lessons. The dance is usually done for luck during the Chinese New Year or important occasions such as business openings and wedding ceremonies.
