Agency leaders show support for SAPR program

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — On March 8, designated as International Women’s Day, Defense Logistics Agency leaders took a break from Executive Board business to address an important issue to both women and men – sexual assault prevention and response.

Command Master Chief Shaun Brahmsteadt will succeed Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin as the Defense Logistics Agency’s command senior enlisted leader.

Brahmsteadt named DLA’s new command senior enlisted leader

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — The Office of the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff announced March 6 that Command Master Chief Shaun Brahmsteadt will succeed Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin as the Defense Logistics Agency’s command senior enlisted leader.

‘Flag ladies’ continue Betsy Ross legacy as museum-worthy Philadelphia flag-makers

PHILADELPHIA — Embroiderers at DLA Troop Support continue the flag-making legacy of Betsy Ross and the many needle workers who preceded them. The "flag ladies" are featured in the Betsy Ross House’s newest exhibit “Historic Threads: 250 Years of Flag Making in Philadelphia.”

Armored bulldozers such as these were provided through DLA Troop Support’s Heavy Equipment Procurement Program and will allow Iraqi combat engineers to more effectively clear convoy routes of roadside bombs and other threats in the ongoing fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

Deadline for ‘Real ID’-compliant driver’s license extended to June for some states

If you have family members whose only ID is issued by one of an expanded list of non-compliant states or territories, they will not be able to use that ID for unescorted access to Department of Defense or other federal facilities after June 6, following an extension of the deadline by the Department of Homeland Security.

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Workers and contributors to the Defense Logistics Agency’s 2016 Combined Federal Campaign celebrated surpassing the organization’s donation goal during an awards ceremony in the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Feb. 9.
