PHILADELPHIA — As a field activity of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support headquartered in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Indo-Pacific works directly with customers and industry partners to support the military during day-to-day operations, humanitarian assistance and contingency missions. PEARL HARBOR — As a college student with a learning disability, visits to the university’s Learning Assistance Center were a part of the routine for Allison Higashi, a contracting specialist with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Indo-Pacific. It was a spring day in 2009 at the University of Hawaii when an unexpected visitor, presented a unique opportunity that would change her life.
