DLA Troop Support provides 96,000 meals and 1,400 cases of bottled water to Hurricane Dorian relief efforts

PHILADELPHIA — As the threat of Hurricane Dorian became imminent, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain ensured meals-ready-to-eat, bottled water and fresh fruits and vegetables were available to those directly impacted by the storm, starting August 29.

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain’s recall notifications under the All Food and Drug Act are critical to ensuring the warfighter and their family members do not buy or consume recalled subsistence products in any government owned facility. But what about the customers that need to be credited for products that were recalled?

Procurement Process Support team recognized for invaluable assistance to Europe and Africa

PHILADELPHIA — During a recent visit to DLA Troop Support in Philadelphia, Army Lt. Col. Sherdrick Rankin, DLA Troop Support Europe and Africa commander, recognized members of the Procurement Process Support team for their outstanding support.

The National Response Coordination Center at FEMA in Washington D.C. is activated to respond to Hurricane Dorian.

Expanded operations and plans capability supports Dorian relief efforts of FEMA, government partners

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Operations and Plans Directorate’s expanded capabilities prove valuable in Hurricane Dorian response efforts to support whole of government customers such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency and U.S. Northern Command.

DLA Troop Support celebrates two civilian retirees

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support said farewell to two civilian employees during a retirement ceremony August 29. Linda Gruber and Stanley Williams retired from the Construction and Equipment supply chain after 38 and 32 years of service.

The 16 Air Force majors who toured DLA Troop Support in Philadelphia on August 26, 2019, are part of a professional development program for mobility officers at the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Operations School. One of the areas of study in the program is supply chain management.

DLA Troop Support gives first-hand lesson on supply chains to Air Force Air Mobility students

PHILADELPHIA — Students and academic leaders from the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Operations School visited the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia Aug. 26 for an overview of the agency’s services and to learn about its mission. The students, who are part of the school’s Advanced Study of Air Mobility program, met with representatives from each of the agency’s five supply chains.

Troop Support improves analysis, decision making through project management

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support recently emphasized a focus on project management to enable better data-driven decision making and analysis. The Continuous Process Improvement office is leading the charge in support of PM training with classroom sessions to improve the workforce's PM skills and provide tools intended to help employees and leaders.

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain, in partnership with DLA Distribution Norfolk, Virginia, provides support to the Air Force's annual re-supply mission, Pacer Goose Sustainment 2019, at Thule Air Base, Greenland.

DLA Troop Support recognizes civilian retirees

Philadelphia — Susan Baker, Jeffrey Kochanowicz and Garth McBride marked their retirement from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support during a ceremony July 29. DLA Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Gavin Lawrence presided over the ceremony and thanked the retirees for their 104 combined years of service to the federal government and warfighters.
