DLA San Joaquin workforce spans multiple generations

TRACY, Calif. — Ever since its beginnings in 1942 as a part of the Army’s Quartermaster system, what is known today as Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Joaquin has had a countless number of employees make up the workforce over more than eight decades. TRACY, Calif. — DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California, employees started to pack, store and ship express rations in support of DLA Troop Support requirements in May 2023. E-Rations, utilized by the Marine Corps and the Army, replace the need for kitchen equipment and allow warfighters to have a hot meal in any combat or training environment.

TRACY, Calif. — Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Joaquin, California hosted the Distribution Expeditionary Academy for DLA reservists for the first time in over three years on April 17, at DLA Distribution San Joaquin in Tracy, California. During the academy, DLA reservists undergo training that prepares them to conduct distribution activities on a deployment in support of the warfighter or natural disaster response.
