Troop Support emphasizes inclusion during annual disability expo

PHILADELPHIA — About 500 DLA Troop Support employees took the opportunity to learn more about how people with disabilities support the warfighter during the annual National Disability Employment Awareness Month Expo and AbilityOne Day event Oct. 26.

Ceremony marks new leadership in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A new era was ushered in at Defense Supply Center Columbus as Navy Rear Adm. Michelle Skubic took over command of DLA Land and Maritime during a ceremony at the Operations Center auditorium Oct. 31.

Since the official kick-off for the Combined Federal Campaign on Oct. 3, the Defense Logistics Agency has reached more than 30 percent of its fundraising goal of $315,000.

Chilean Navy visits DLA Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Members of the Chilean Navy visited the largest distribution center in the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution network, DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., on Oct. 28 to discuss DLA’s global logistics processes and how DLA Distribution supports foreign military sales customers. The visit included Rear Adm. Guido Cabrera, supply director of the Chilean Navy.

Princesses, Pirates and Porcupines unite in the quest for candy at the annual CDC Halloween Parade

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Tenants of Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna lined the streets surrounding the Child Development Center and the installation fire station to hand out candy to approximately 120 ghouls, goblins, superheroes and princesses during the Halloween parade on Oct. 31.
