Tanya Lee leads the audit readiness human performance team in DLA Finance. She used to travel often for her job, until she began experiencing life-threatening blood clots and heart problems. Lee discovered the source of her strength in faith and fortitude.

Positive attitude, faith lead DLA employee with disabilities to DoD recognition

A DLA employee's courage when faced with a neurological disorder that had doctors giving him only 30 days left to live has been recognized with an award from the secretary of Defense.

U.S. Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer 2 Mathew Wright, a motor transportation maintenance officer with Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, conducts maintenance on an Invent3D printer during a 3-D printer integration exercise at site 50 training area, Wellton, Arizona, Oct. 18, 2016. Wright used the additive manufacturing equipment to make objects from 3-D model data throughout Weapons Tactics Instructors course 1-17. Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One cadre host WTI which emphasizes operational integration of the six functions of Marine Corps aviation in support of a Marine Air Ground Task Force. MAWTS-1 provides standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.

Printing the future: MWSS-372 successfully tests 3-D printing in a field environment

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA, Ariz. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marine Corps website — A Humvee door handle might not seem like the start of a new era in the Marine Corps, but the Marines of MWSS-327 believe that this small piece of plastic is exactly that. Embracing Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. Robert Neller’s recent push for Marines to innovate, MWSS-372 is one of the first units to experiment with 3-D printing.

Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond, Virginia, Fire and Emergency Services will provide flu shots to Active duty and retired military, civilian and retired employees beginning Oct. 26, 2016 in the Lott’s Conference Center from 8 a.m. to noon. Other dates scheduled are Oct. 27 and Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to noon.

DSCR’s annual flu shots begin Oct. 26

Richmond, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond, Virginia, Fire and Emergency Services will provide flu shots to active duty military, and civilian government employees with a valid DoD identification card beginning Oct. 26 in the Lott’s Conference Center

Army Lt. Col. Charles Kettles (Ret.) on stage during a visit to DLA Land and Maritime Oct. 19. Kettles was awarded the Medal of Honor July 18 for actions he performed as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, during which he saved the lives of 44 men.

New process incorporates digital telework requests with timekeeping system

For eligible employees, telework provides a means of meeting mission requirements at an alternate work site while eliminating stressors associated with commutes, parking and common workplace interruptions. Currently, approximately 16,000 Defense Logistics Agency employees are telework eligible.

KC-135 Block 45 Program Acquisition Innovation saves millions
