Distribution Commander's 4th of July Safety Message

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — This Fourth of July marks the 242nd anniversary of our nation’s birth, the day when brave and dedicated patriots, representatives of the 13 colonies then fighting in the revolutionary struggle, signed a resolution that would declare independence of the United States from Great Britain and founded a nation based on freedom. From that day to this, the world has never been the same…but America continues to stand for freedom.

Affinity groups offer fellowship and training

Two Defense Logistics Agency Energy employees gained valuable information in two affinity group leadership trainings. DLA Energy Contract Specialist Keecha Elliott attended the FAPAC National Leadership Training Program in Arlington, Virginia, May 14-17 and DLA Energy Inventory Management Specialist Kevin Jackson attended the SAIGE National Training Program in Green Bay, Wisconsin, June 11-14.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Navy Captain Justin D. Debord celebrated 25 years of military service during a retirement ceremony in the Operations Center Auditorium June 29 at the Defense Supply Center Columbus. In his final assignment, Debord served as the director of Strategic Acquisition Programs for the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime.

DLA Distribution Expeditionary team provides real world logistics support to Exercise Saber Strike and Operation Atlantic Resolve

POWIDZ, Poland — After nearly two years of planning, DLA Distribution’s Deployment Expeditionary Team deployed to Powidz, Poland in support of Exercise Saber Strike 18 and Operation Atlantic Resolve. Saber Strike is the platform to validate U.S. forces collective capability to rapidly respond to and reinforce Allies in a time of crisis. Operation Atlantic Resolve is a real-world multinational training and security cooperation activity taking place in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.
